Squidoo is in my opinion a gold resource for affiliates. You just have to know how to tap into the power of it. The internet is booming once again with offers and how to guides on all type's of topics.

If you use Squidoo right you will be able to make massive profits that keep going for years to come. In this article I am going to share with you some myths about SEO so you can start profiting very quickly.

I have often been told follow your passion and the money will come. So that is Where we are going to start. I want you to write out everything you like to do or talk about. Now pick a topic out of the list and let's get going.

Update On My Challenge

Today I was working to get all of my 54 lens complete. I accomplished that earlier. I even wrote an article to help promote one of my blogs. I have been spending the rest of the afternoon working on another project, as well as read up on Squidoo on different websites and blogs. I can say it is really getting addicting. There is also so much information out there about Squidoo.

I was thinking of putting up some lens tomorrow with some PLR I have on my computer. I have done that with a few of my lens so far. I was able to find PLR that worked as well as an affiliate program to go with them.

My Squidoo Lens Stats For June 21, 2008

I see myself soon as a Giant Squid! That is when you have 50 quality lens published. Today I grabbed I think 17 pages for celebrities and famous people I like. I will be working on those tonight to get them where they are "quality" lens and have a green check in my dashboard.

Wow. You have 54 lenses, visited 312 times in the last 7 days.

Okay, now not all 54 of these lenses are completed. A bunch of them I still have to change and update and publish. Lets hope by tomorrow morning I have them all done.

The Squid Who Tool!

Last night I found out about the Squid Who tool on Squidoo. You type in a name of a famous person and it will give you the page for that person. If it cannot find what you are looking for, it starts searching and creating a page for you. Since I was looking at hot rod related lens this morning, I thought I would search for the hot rod legend "Boyd Cottington". To my surprise, it wasn't taken. So I took both of these links:

What is cool about SquidWho, is when it creates the page for you, it fills up modules for Wikipedia, Amazon, Youtube, etc. So you have something to start with, then can edit from there. I found this very useful.

There's no doubt about it. Squidoo is a formidable competitor for most of today's so-called membership sites. If you haven't heard of Squidoo you're probably new to Internet marketing. This traffic generating powerhouse is very much like a chameleon. By this I mean Squidoo is many things to many people.

It's an online quilting bee to quilters and wanna be quilt masters. You'll find a huge and active community of crafts people in nearly every variety of crafting.

If you're into tattoo arts as a voyeur or multi-tattooed aficionado, you'll find yourself a home at Squidoo. The lists of tattoo related lenses is almost unlimited.

Squidoo is definitely the place for you to build an Internet presence. Large and small businesses get their Internet start or enhance their image and reach by creating a lens. With the mastery of just a few basic clicks and tucks, a Squidoo lens can begin driving quality targeted traffic to the sites of its thousands of marketing pros...and semi-pros.

Squidoo is actually a community. You'll even have the option of sharing profits from Google ads, Amazon ads and a host of others. You can even post your own custom ads, within limits, and reap 100% of the proceeds.

I could use the next 2000 words to describe all the benefits of a Squidoo lens. However, you'll get more benefit if I restrict myself to just delivering some basic components. My goal is to point you in the direction of the fastest start-up for your own Squidoo lens. Once you've "published" your first lens you'll find yourself fine tuning it for the next year.

Here's my "Fast-Five Five Step Plan" for getting your Squidoo lens up and running. That is, running traffic into your main webpages or to your affiliate links.

1. If you haven't done so already, fall-in-love with something. It can be the one hobby that makes you no money at all but makes hours of your day seem like just a few minutes. If that particular something comes to mind as soon as you read my words, you now have the subject for your Squidoo lens.

If it takes you a little longer to decide, that's perfectly ok. Just don't spend more than 20 minutes thinking about the subject of your first lens. In fact, I'll give you a short cut that will probably make you a lot of money right away. If not it will definitely throw tons of traffic at your lens. We'll make that number two.

2. Go to Google and find the number one top search driver for the day. A few days ago it was a new sport shoe from Nike. What ever it is, especially if you can't think of anything else, make that the subject of your lens. Just do it.

3. Google everything you can to find information about this subject and save your notes in a Word file. Consider it a brainstorming exercise and do not critique what you find. Just stay in search mode until you have at least two or three full pages of information.

4. Now you're ready to open your Squidoo account, which is a very easy process. Be sure to choose the option that indicates you want to earn money from your lens.

5. Next you will want to take your time organizing your information, deciding on a topic for the different sections and save them one at a time on your lens. You'll notice the myriad options and widgets at your disposal. Click them all and play around with the database until you're too tired to see straight. Save your edits and critiques until you are certain you've got too much stuff on your lens.

5.5 Now for the bonus Tip! You're still not ready to critique. First you'll want to find pictures to match your article and information sections. This will also serve as a weeding out process. If you can't find a suitable picture to complement your information, delete the section but save it in your Word file. You can always find a way to use in another lens down the road.

When it's all said and done, your Squidoo lens will be unique, informative and profitable at many levels. You'll notice not many of them are things-of-beauty. Just take a flyer at the project and have fun.

Make Money With Squidoo – A Mom’s Dream Come True

Parents, especially moms are constantly trying to think of ways to make money at home. As a natural instinct, mothers want to be the one to raise their newborn children, not put them in daycare. I have been there myself. I worked the full time job while my grandmother watched my daughter. It took me some time, but I was able to quit my job and work strictly from home. I am now helping other moms find ways to make money at home too!

There is a very popular website that not many moms are aware of. This site I am referring to is Squidoo. This is a social website that allows it’s users to create one page websites called lens. Squidoo was created by an internet marketing guru who wanted to create an easy way for everyone to make some extra money. How you make money with Squidoo is by creating quality lens that other visitor’s are going to want to view and buy from. There are a few ways that you can make money by creating lens on Squidoo, not just one.

When creating a lens on Squidoo, you are given the option to add different modules. These are modules such as text boxes, polls, guestbooks, etc. Included in these modules are ones from Amazon and Ebay. When you add these modules, you can let Amazon or Ebay pick was is going to be displayed on your lens, or you can choose select items of your choice. When a visitor views your lens and clicks the Amazon or Ebay item and makes a purchase, you are going to make a commission. You have to share this commission though with Squidoo. If you don’t want to share, you can signup for an Amazon Associate account and place Amazon products one your page this way. The benefit of using the Amazon or Ebay module is saving time.

A second way you can earn money through your lens is by promoting your own product or service. If you have no product or service, you can signup for affiliate programs. You then would write about the product and include your affiliate link on your lens. When the visitor views your lens and makes a purchase, you make commission through the affiliate program. Some of the popular affiliate programs being used with this are Clickbank and Commission Junction.

The third way you can make money with your lens is by Google. When you create a lens, Google ads are automatically placed on your lens. When visitors come to your site and click the Google Ads, money is being made. The money from the Google ads on your lens is placed in a pool. The pooled revenue is used to first pay overhead and then the remaining is allocated to the lens. The allocation of this revenue is based on the LensRank and traffic to the lenses. It will be important to gain lots of traffic to your lens to receive this type of revenue.

The last way to make money with Squidoo that I am aware of is by referring others. When a visitor comes to your site and signs up for a FREE account with Squidoo, they become your referral. If they accumulate $15.00 in revenue from their lens, you will earn $5.00. You can view your referrals at any time by visiting the Dashboard in Squidoo and going to “My Stats”.

Now you can see where this is a moms dream come true. Moms and dads can create lenses on stuff they are interested in and earn money doing so. It actually can become a hobby to that is rewarding. One thing to remember is you won’t make money overnight with this. It might take a few months if not longer for your lens to start generating income. You will want to promote your lens as much as possible for the best results.
